The Argentine side's general secretary has all but confirmed the striker is on his way back to the club he started his professional career with
Juventus striker Carlos Tevez is set to return to Boca Juniors, according to the Argentine club's general secretary.
The 31-year-old has been heavily linked with a return to the club at which he started his career, having already told Juventus of his desire to move this summer.
Tevez was a crucial part of the Juve side that won Serie A and the Coppa Italia, and also reached the Champions League final, which was lost 3-1 to Barcelona.
Though he is tied to the Bianconeri until June 2016, the Italian side have already signed Mario Mandzukic from Atletico Madrid this summer and Cesar Martucci has revealed that Tevez's move is all but confirmed.
"We are very happy," he told AM 1050. "After much work we can secure the return of Carlos Tevez.
"We hope that with Carlos' return, we can achieve the results that Boca fans are expecting. Unlike many players who returned to the club, he comes at full capacity."
Tevez scored 20 goals in 32 league appearances for the Serie A champions in 2014-15, adding seven more in the Champions League.
